First of all our condo is 1054 Collection Creek Way Va. Beach, Va 23454. remodeled kitchen, new granite counter tops, repainted island, replaced sinks, faucet, redid entire plumbing under sinks added electrical lights, relocated recess original lights added back splash on counter around stove & above cabinets, added extra circuit for refrigerator. remodeled entire master bath, new shower we kept the tub replaced floor, sinks, added vanity, all faucets tiled shower, removed old closet completely re-did plumbing, fixed cut off to toilet in guest , added new lights, exhaust fan, mirrors and granite counter tops. Repainted entire bathroom. Also new toilet and towel bars added. Also changed all recess lighting with new inserts in the entire condo. Did an excellent job, had extremely good tile setters, Tom Jr. ran job & checked just about everyday in the am. When Tom Jr. was busy Tom Sr. came by had to get incorrect measurements changed for sinks location & vanity was ordered too big......had resolved with no extra cost to us. By the way we had the downstairs foyer and 1/2 bath completely done including new tile floor & repainted.....this included new sink, toilet and mirror also was repainted. This was about 2-3 years ago.....also an excellent job.

From the planning through the final steps of construction the process went extremely smooth. Tom kept us informed with a detailed schedule of events. All the subcontractors were top drawer and they kept the house thoroughly clean. We are completely pleased and plan to use Stafford and Son with our next project.

After an extensive search we chose Stafford and Sons for a multi-bathroom renovation project in an older home. The design of the project was to maintain some of the vintage aspects of the building while updating to more modern infrastructure. We had an emotional tie to the home which added an additional challenge. Tom and his teams were great partners in getting the project completed. This was the 3rd house we have renovated one of them in a different city so we were familiar with a lot of the challenges of working with contractors and subs. We were not living in the house during the project; a lot of the communication had to be done remotely. Tom was, is, an excellent businessman and contractor. He is prompt, his staff was trustworthy, he came up with ideas that made the project better and he went the extra mile to make sure the outcome was good. The project took a month more than quoted, but that was because we specified something where the project was waiting on the supplier. Having the materials and components together before starting the project makes it go much faster. If you have specific design ideas or materials Tom and his team will work with you to incorporate them. Quality of the work was between an A and B. The need for the contractors to finish a project when they had multiple projects sometimes led to decisions made weren't to our standards. Tom worked with us on solutions. Quality of his subcontractors was excellent: Tiling and masonry definitely an A ; in fact they were so good that it gave us confidence in another renovation that will further improve the house. Tom's trustworthiness cannot be underestimated. We opened our home to him and his team and they took good care of it, keeping it secure during the process. As with any project of this size and duration, there were a few bumps along the way, but Tom is the kind of contractor who minimizes challenges to make sure the project is completed. We have already recommended him to friends. We would definitely work with him again.

Called us back within reasonable amount of time to schedule a time to come out and review what we were interested in having completed. He came when promised. Gave us good feedback on his thoughts on what we desired. He wanted to make sure he could do what we wanted without it looking like he was there at all. He called us back around a week later and told us he was unable to take a job this small. He gave us some tips and suggestions. I would consider him for larger projects as he seemed to care about what he does and the quality of it.

We did not see the house until it was finished so by that time everything was already in place.Overall the house is great, but there have been a few minor hiccups: celing fan in the family room with a 20 ft ceiling did not come with a remote control, but the celing fan in the MBR has a remote control. That is another expense we have to incur as the only speed the family room fan operateson is FAST!! Back door to the deck was installed without painting it - reported to builder and still waiting on a remedy. In the builder's defense, the door looked like it had been painted as it is white. Several interior doors are too low to the floor making it difficult to open the doors if there is a runner or throw rug in front of it. That will be added to the list to be corrected at the one year point.

Excellent! Gave them the keys to the condo, kept in touch, sent pictures of progress, performed clean up, performed walk through, minor touch ups, moved in. Would definitely use Stafford again!

Called to set up initial meeting for renovation bid. He informed me that he would be on vacation the week that we were set to close on the house and that he may not be able to start on time with the project. Then, called again to let me know that he really felt like he wasn't going to be able to devote the man hours to the project to get us in the house in our projected time frame and that he apologized and to please call him if we needed him in the future or if our closing got pushed back. I really appreciated the communication and the honesty.

Tom Stafford Jr. was extremely responsive during our initial phone conversation and continued to be so until the last detail was completed in our remodel. He and his team were nothing short of professional, meticulous, timely, and trustworthy. He completely remodeled our kitchen, removed a load- bearing wall on the first floor, installed hardwood throughout the first floor, and enlarged and remodeled our master bathroom. Tom found quite a few problems in the existing framing, duct work, plumbing, etc., but he and his guys came up with a fix for every one of them. He was conscious of our budget at all times and stayed within (or below) budget even with all of the problems that arose due to the original build. His team left my house immaculate every day; some of the guys would even bring in my trash cans after the truck left! Tom was at the house every day and checked in with me by phone with every change in the schedule. He picked up a screwdriver or cleaning rag any time he saw a fine detail that needed adjustment. I cannot recommend this company highly enough.

The end result was exactly what I was looking for. Tom Stafford gave me a detailed estimate including materials list and schedule. There were no surprises. He gave detailed instructions to his workers and checked their progress frequently. The job was done in short order. I plan to use Stafford and Son for my next house renovation.
