A truly hassle free remodel experience. Tom Jr. was exceptional from the early quote/bid phase until final completion of our project. Tom arrived at our home every morning at 8:00 am to discuss what was to take place that day and his subcontractors would always arrive within the next fifteen minutes (if not already there). The subcontractors were courteous, performed quality work and cleaned up after themselves daily. Tom acted as a consultant on several design issues and was a great sounding board on any ideas we had. He was as responsive as homeowner could want and I cannot say enough positive things about our experience. I highly, highly recommend him.

After talking with several different contractors with several different ideas, we decided to go with Stafford and Son on our master bathroom remodel. Tom Jr supervised the job on a daily basis and let us know exactly what would be happening when. He worked within our budget and discussed different ways to stay within the budget without losing the look we wanted. Every person who came into the house was professional and courteous. Even though we were not at home most days, it was obvious that each crew worked hard every day and did an outstanding job. The tile guys were amazing. It was very obvious they took a lot of pride in their work-as they should have. After several days of tiling, the shower and floor looked beautiful! On a Friday afternoon they sealed the travertine. Through no fault of their own, the sealant was the wrong one. It gave the tile a wet look and completely changed the look of the room. We hoped that the sealant would dry and go back to the natural look but by Sat morning it was obvious that it wasn't going to happen. Dwayne (one of the tilers) came in Saturday and worked all day removing and adding individual tiles to try to improve the look of the shower but to no avail. Tom Jr came over Sunday morning, took one look at the tile, and said he would tear out the entire shower and start again. No questions asked. He simply said that it was no longer the look we had asked for. He went Monday morning and ordered all new tile. As soon as the new tile came in they were back and spent one day completely removing all the sealed tile and backerboard. For the next two and a half days, they put the new tile in. I don't know how but somehow the second tile job looked even better than the first! Absolutely beautiful! We could not be more pleased with everyone associated with this company. On a personal note, my husband was scheduled to deploy within days of our scheduled completion date. Tom Jr and everyone went above and beyond to make sure he saw the new bathroom before he deployed. Even with the tile setback, they all worked hard and rearranged their scheduling to make sure they met the completion date and my husband got to see the finished job. We have one more bathroom and a kitchen that we will be remodeling and I would never consider using anyone but Stafford and Son. I know they will do a quality job at a very reasonable price. If something unexpected happens I know they will not simply look for an excuse or try to blame someone else, they will work to fix the issue. Integrity is important to this company and they work to maintain a strong impressive reputation. I highly recommend this company to anyone looking to update or remodel.

Had a property that suffered storm damage from Isabel. The water damaged happened as an another roofer (less than a year ago), roofed the home, but did not do a good job.. the storm came the water found it's way in... the water settled in the bedroom ceiling and the ceiling fell in. A REAL MESS! ETC. I I found Stafford & Son Builders on Angie's List.. THANK THE LORD! They fixed everything.. NO fuss, NO problems. I called.. Tom got to the property quickly.. we got the estimate.. the work got done! In just a matter less than 2 weeks! Amazingly prompt. These guys are the BEST! Did not have to "babysit" .. Got started and finished on TIME! NO delays. Good to their word and very nice. TRUSTWORTHY! HONEST! I will be calling them again.

Extremely well. We bought a very old 1909 home. This was not an easy renovation. It went very smoothly. There are 2 Toms. I worked with the younger one. I could not have asked for a more polite and responsive contractor. I interviewed several, and am SO happy that I went with Stafford and Sons. Extremely professional. Workmanship is fantastic. No mistakes. I promise that you will be happy if you work with him. I was initially worried about the cost, but he saved me money in countless ways. Did NOT go over budget. The project lasted longer than anticipated, but that was largely due to changes that my wife and I requested in the midst of the project.

Tom Stafford Jr. was very attentive from the first meeting and listened to our ideas and goals. Tom's estimate was the most realistic and the most detailed of the three we got. Tom and his team were always on time, respectful and curtious. This was a major project that lasted several months and Tom always informed us of where we were in the time-line and what to expect. We both work and Tom made sure he was on site anytime there was inside work being done. We made some alterations during the project and Tom was able to work with us to make them all happen. Every individual project was completed on-time and within budget. Tom made follow-up visits and calls well after the project completion ensuring we were satisfied. Stafford and Son hires the best craftsment and uses top of the line materials. Hats off to Stafford and Son on an outstanding job.

This is a fantastic company! Tom, Jr. was very open to some special requests I had regarding the new fixtures for the baths. He worked with me and gave me some good ideas regarding design and fixtures when I wasn't sure what to do. During the work, Tom, Jr. constantly asked me if I were pleased with the work and to point out any mistakes or things that needed to be fixed. His workmen laid down drop cloths every time they came to work in our house in order to protect our carpet. He finished the work on time. If there were delays in the work, the lost time was made up as soon as possible. The longer I use our new bathrooms the more pleased I am with them. I would definitely hire this company again.
